“Lucy came to see what was growing in my garden, helped me to gather an array of flowers I would not have even considered, including some Virginia creeper from the side of my shed, and entwined the ribbons of a tambourine my mother used to play in amongst the stalks of the flowers, to produce a stunning wreath for which I will always be grateful”
No two arrangements are alike, with each piece being very much of the seasonal moment. What is available one day has been blown away by the wind the next, and what is pregnant with bud for weeks seemingly without warning transforms into a beautiful bloom overnight.
I have been fortunate enough to supply arrangements to local families in Wiltshire and the surrounding counties since 2010. Foxgloves, Rosemary, Pink Campions and Cow Parsley, local flowers, foliage and even produce have played their part – the choice of ‘ingredients’ is sometimes surprising, never dull and always inspiring.
